Hi all Just a word from the Captain. We have been quite busy these past few days, just taking care of stuff.
I came down to the lake by myself a few weeks ago and the Admiral stayed home to play with her grandkids. The primary purpose of that trip was to meet with the only person who speaks Garmin within 3 states. We were having trouble with our genius Garmin so I had the tech come in from Paducah to resolve the current issue we were having. I say current because there always seems to be issues with Garmin. The good thing is all he found a spade clip that was installed incorrectly so a 50 cent part cost $175.00 to find. Any way I had him look at our radar because the screen had the error message “Not Responding”. Bottom line, it was fried. So I purchased a new Garmin radar. It was installed on Tuesday of this week. I love my Garmin equipment even though it’s a love hate relationship right now. They can be a great help in navigating but it’s tedious to learn all the applications, with a lot of it not in the manual.
It has been one project after the other after reading Anna’s last post, you can tell yesterday was not a great day. But we are at the lake and most of our readers are at work, so I’ll still take my day over theirs. That was yesterday, today’s been more organizing. We need to stay on this organizing kick because when we return next time in July we will be w/o a car.
"No officer, that's not rum in my coke!
It only smells like it, I think its the lime."

We have several items aboard that serve no real propose other than they just make us happy, and we would like to have them with us. However we were a bit befuddled on what to do with these items since they all are big and bulky. We have tried the floor method but we just kept moving them to another place to be stumbled over and moved again. So the decision was to put them on the hard top behind us. So with Anna’s help and guidance we figured a way to store the water mattress, two folding chairs, one rocking director’s chair, and a cooler so it didn’t look like the Clappetts were moving in. Then I set to installing some storage in the bilge even though I swore yesterday never to enter that space again. Oh I forgot I think there may have been a nap in there some place. We had an early dinner. Anna made her famous Mom’s Pork Chops w/ gravy, and mashed potatoes. Life doesn’t get much better than this. More projects tomorrow, but that’s another day.
See you on the water
