A Shout Out to Dale

Captain Frank just started the engines so we could leave Goose Pond Marina and, as he has every morning on the trip he says quietly, “thanks Dale”.  While at Buzzard Rock Marina on Barkley Lake our mechanic and friend Dale adjusted the throttles on the Pig.  We had been having trouble starting the engines and this adjustment has made it very easy to hit the right spot.  Frank had had the throttles looked at many times before and no one was able to cure this little problem.  Since Dale adjusted them, the engines take off every time with no hassles.  We thought it was about time we said thanks in a bigger way!  Dale, we think about you every time we start the boat, whether that’s first thing in the morning or when we’re ready to leave a lock.  You’re The Man!!
