Life has been cruising along since leaving Marathon.  We pulled out of Harbour Cay late morning on April 12th.  It had been a great stay but we were both ready to see what was around the bend.  We’ve had a terrific time.  It’s impossible to describe the beautiful water and the incredible scenery along the ICW.  We’ve been in the land of the definitely rich and possibly famous.

We have made our way up the Eastern coast of Florida with a stay in Coconut Grove and another in North Palm Beach. Right now we’re in Cocoa Village on our way to Daytona with one more stop in Titusville. My friend, Amy lives in Daytona and I’m looking forward to seeing her.

The Captain has a new chapter to the saga of the auto-pilot but I’ll let him tell that in another post.  Below are some of the pics we’ve taken over the last few weeks.

Saturday morning rush to the Keys.  We were glad to be going the other direction.

Storm ahead

Looks almost worse on radar

The parade of incredible homes on the ICW

Did I mention the boats?

And the homes with the boats?

At Sands Harbor Marina I took a dip in the pool.  Very refreshing...a smaller version of the Corona was too!

Lots of short bridges on the way to North Palm Beach.  Luckily with the Garmin we could time our arrival pretty close to the listed opening times.

Lifting mechanism for the bridge.  We got a good view as we moved through

One of the more unusual sights on the water.  A house being moved by barge.

The Flagler House Museum in Palm Beach

Gotta love a good flea market!

See ya on the water!
